Cynthia Naeger

Cynthia Naeger was born in the small town of Hill City in Graham County. As much as she loves Topeka and considers it home, she still misses the wide open space and simple beauty of western Kansas. (Be sure to ask her husband Bill about the Graham County retirement plan!)

Cynthia is the ninth child in a family of ten children.  Growing up in a family of this size gave ample opportunity for honing “people skills.”  All of her professional work experience has been in helping children and families in various settings including: preschool and elementary education, social work and now Children’s Ministries here at FUMC.

Married since 1985, the Naegers moved to Topeka in 1988 and joined First Church in 1990. They have three children, Hannah, Grace and Will. Cynthia joined the staff in May, 2003.

Cynthia's duties here at the church include coordination of children's Christian education, mission projects and seasonal activities. She serves as a part-time employee of the church staff. Cynthia is committed to making First Church a fun, safe place where kids want to be.
