Purpose of United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is a community of women whose PURPOSE is …

  • to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; (As our awareness of God grows and we understand more fully how we should live according to the example of Jesus, we live more fully as we are intended to live. There is freedom in this way of life.)
  • to develop a creative supportive fellowship; (Members share in the discovery of what God wants us to do and be and uphold each other in growth and service.)
  • and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. (Participating in missions locally and abroad through donations and pledges. Opportunities to attend educational programs sponsored by UMW.)
